With the state-of-the art PetSafe Boundary Wire Break Locator RFA-450, you'll save countless hours in locating where any wire breaks in your underground electric dog fence system have occurred.
Just replace your dog fence transmitter with the wire break locator transmitter and the PetSafe RFA-450 will force an RF signal through the boundary wire loop.
As you walk along the perimeter of your underground dog fence wire with the included wireless handheld AM radio, you'll hear the system's static pulses through the radio.
When you reach an area that fails to produce a static pulse, you've found the location of a wire break in your system.
To ensure proper repair of the underground wire, use the included waterproof splices.
Failure to do so can significantly increase the risk of moisture getting inside the wire insulation and corroding the copper, eventually resulting in dead spots and wire breaks.
For best results in repairing wire breaks, it's highly recommended that you replace a 3- to 4-foot section of the electric dog fence wire where the break occurred to ensure against further moisture issues in the wire.
